Project Žabnica
In Žabnica near Notranje gorice we are building 12 terraced low energy houses in two sets. We are building until the 5th prolonged construction phase, which means that all systems in the facility are functional, the facility is also finalized on the exterior, inside it is whitened one time, the only thing missing is the ceramics and other floor lining that is usually an individual decision of the future customer.
The facilities are designed as single family terrace houses in two sets (6+6) and implemented as low-energy facilities, with heating and preparation of sanitary water on the basis of renewable energy sources - geo-probe, which means less burdening of the environment, consumption of energy 3l / m2. Resident units are designed in three levels – bottom floor, 1st floor and attic, and provide all the necessary space, which constructs a functional totality of living unit.
Access to individual living units is predicted through a connecting road and sidewalk of total width app. 5m, all the infrastructure is led inside the above mentioned connecting road and is connected with the existing or predicted public infrastructure.
Housing units are implemented as skeleton assembly facilities from massive wood on the basic floor concrete plate with edge foundations. Wood construction elements are adequately thermally and ecologically treated and consist of appropriate carpenter’s bounds for this type of construction. The wooden skeleton construction is a self-standing construction and assures complete protection against earthquakes.
Main source of energy is the installed heat pump (with geo-probe) or adequate capacity, which is completely sufficient for the needs of thermal losses replacement and the preparation of sanitary water. Each individual apartment unit is also predicted for installation of a fireplace, for which a chimney device of suitable cross-section is installed. The facilities are heated with low-temperature system of floor heating.
All exterior doors and windows are glazed with insulation glass K = 0,7 W/m2 K.
Parcels and facilities are examined for radiation and comply with all radiation requirements and are therefore very suitable for living also from this point of view.
